The road to property recovery with the Connectivity Partner Programme

Find out everything we’re doing to support you and your properties with recovery.

Last month we worked hard to create the Connectivity Recovery Toolkit, with the aim of supporting you and your properties as we start to see signs of travel picking up again. The toolkit gives you targeted lists of recovery products to help properties reduce workload, secure future bookings and offer more flexibility to potential guests.

As of 1 July, you’ll be able to earn points in the Property Performance category of the programme by focussing your efforts on our curated list of recovery products. Make sure you opt in to the Q3 Opportunity deal in the Property Performance category to start earning up to 300 points between 1 July and 30 September.

You can use the Connectivity Recovery Toolkit to find out detailed information about each product and its benefits for your properties. You can find the products in the ‘Opportunities’ tab in the Portal. We’ve labelled all recovery products ‘COVID-19: Business Recovery’ to make it easier for you to locate them.

Which products are relevant to my properties?

We understand that countries around the world are facing different challenges. We’ve mapped countries into three groups based on the different situations they may be facing. 

  1. Lockdown: Countries that are strongly limiting travelling and movement of people
  2. Recovery: Countries that are seeing domestic travel slowly pick up 
  3. Back to business: Countries that are experiencing higher levels of demand 

As of 1 July, you’ll be able to find this country mapping information in the Portal, under the ‘Reports’ tab in the Portal or via a button in the Opportunities page. We’re using data models and checking with our local Booking.com offices to decide where each country falls. Please note that countries may move back and forth between these groups. We advise you to stay up to date with the information and regularly check how countries are moving across the different groups. 

Based on where your properties are located, different lists of recovery products might be relevant. Check the Connectivity Recovery Toolkit to find out which products can help your properties based on the country they’re in. Please note that we’re updating the Connectivity Recovery Toolkit continuously and some products might not be added yet.

What advice do we have to reach out to your properties?

Here are three ways you can support your properties:

  1. Send an email campaign: We’ve created a package of ready-to-use copy so you can send out emails to your properties to help them through recovery. Contact your Partner Business Manager or submit a request to receive this package. 
  2. Call your properties and show your support: We know from research that combining an email with a personal call increases your impact. A phone conversation shows empathy and is a great way to connect with your properties on a more human level. 
  3. Adopt the Opportunities API and Promotions API: By adopting the Opportunities API, you can share the list of recovery products with your properties directly in your system. The Promotions API also allows your properties to set up rates in your system. These are scalable ways to give properties commercial advice relevant to them, and to enable them to offer competitive prices. 

Earn up to 200 extra points by sharing your marketing initiatives with us 

We’re interested in the different marketing initiatives you’re setting up, and we’d like to acknowledge the efforts you’re putting into helping your properties on the road to recovery. 

That’s why we’ve created an additional Property Recovery deal based on your different marketing initiatives. This deal will run from 1 July until 30 September. Depending on the information you share with us, you can earn up to 200 extra points in the programme. Please make sure to share a screenshot of your initiative to lock down your points.
