Announcing the 2022 – 2024 Connectivity Advisory Board
What is the Connectivity Advisory Board?
The Connectivity Advisory Board was set up as part of Booking.com’s ongoing commitment to discussing industry trends, ideas and strategies with providers as a means of facilitating mutual growth. The aim is to increase dialogue with providers about topics that impact our mutual business. That’s how we can enable and foster discussions around continuous improvements that help us evolve with market trends together.
The Board serves as a great way to ensure we’re doing the right thing for providers, while gaining insights and aligning our plans with milestones in the industry.
The Connectivity Advisory Board plans to come together and connect more frequently on values to drive technical and commercial conversations. This will enable continuous discussions on important issues, serving as a means of bringing together ideas and reiterating collective values.
We will be keeping two boards however, instead of having one board dedicated to core properties and one to vacation rental properties, we will now have one board dedicated to commercial advisory and one focussed on tech and product advisory. This will improve our partnership by creating a platform to connect and discuss topics from a commercial, product and technical point of view in order to get a comprehensive view of the industry’s needs and trends.
How will these changes benefit providers?
Optimising the ability to drive technical and commercial conversations will foster and inspire a valuable relationship between providers and Booking.com. This will enable us to develop, inspire and mutually support from both sides.
“It’s upon mutual growth that we build our partnership, so it’s important for us to have a platform that brings the industry closer while encouraging co-creation and collaboration,” says Rolf Nijdam, Senior Manager – Connectivity Ecosystem Development and Innovation. “This enables us to evolve with market trends and guest needs, driving impactful opportunities through connectivity solutions that support your business.”
